Welcome to Dunning-Foubert Elementary School!
Dunning-Foubert E.S. is home to around 530 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 in both the English and French Immersion programs. We currently have almost 50 staff members.
Our school timetable reflects a "balanced day", which means we have three instructional blocks (120/120/60min) and two 45 minute breaks (25 minutes of outdoor play and 20 minutes for nutritional break).
We believe we are an exceptional school, within a wonderful community. Our size, programming, enthusiasm, energy, diversity and environment, make this a great place to learn, grow, develop friendships and create memories. Our emphasis on global awareness, critical inquiry and technology usage can be readily observed throughout the school. Our parent involvement is truly inspiring and we welcome opportunities to support each other. Our School Council is very active and welcomes parents to monthly meetings to support numerous events. Our dedicated, committed staff and our respectful, engaging environment make Dunning-Foubert a truly special school.
We believe we offer, not only an excellent academic experience but an opportunity for our children to develop a strength of character by emphasizing those traits which support that goal. We further promote the OCDSB Character Traits and Exit Outcomes with an emphasis on ensuring that our students are lifelong learners. We also promote independence, responsibility and a healthy lifestyle.
We are proud of our extra-curricular opportunities which include bands, choirs, homework clubs, tutoring, intramural games, interest clubs and many sports teams. We promote student leadership and readily involve our students and welcome former students to support our school.
Our school community involves supportive parents who take an interest in their children's academic pursuits, a dedicated committed staff and an environment that promotes independence, responsibility and healthy lifestyles.
